From Jon Shain

Greetings, everyone!

I hope people are staying home, safe and well. At this point, we all probably either know someone who has caught the virus or perhaps you have it right now. Wishing everyone health and strength!

Since I can’t get out and play for you for a while, I’m presenting an online concert this Thursday night in conjunction with the website CantStoptheBlues.com They have been putting on free curated shows with really great artists every night since the beginning of the lockdown. I’m honored to have been invited to play.

The show will begin Thursday night (4/16) at 8pm CDT (9pm EDT). The “doors open” at 8:30pm, and I’ll be in the virtual room to chat with you. The show will be up on Facebook the next day or so, too. Use the facebook link for the interactive window. Here are the two links you can use to tune in:

There will be links for online donations for this show, but it is free to the public.

In spite of losing all touring income and related CD sales, I have been doing alright by teaching guitar lessons online. But my buddy FJ Ventre has lost all of that income from our touring and his studio business is effectively shut down. So a large chunk of the money we raise from donations will go to FJ. Also – my daughter Johanna is the director of the video, editing together two cameras and an audio feed. She probably will not be able to get a summer job, and she’s expected to raise some of her college expenses that way. So, I’ll be giving her a good size chunk of the donations as well.

If you can’t watch the show but would like to make a donation anyway, here are my links:

Thanks so much! Please share this show with your friends!

Stay well and stay strong – Jon
