Woodstock Wednesdays is excited to bring a performance by Cielito Lindo to you. The Lucero family plays traditional and nontraditional music of Mexico, Latin America and the United States. As seen on WGN, Univision, Chicago Tonight, Parents Latina Magazine, Chicago Parent and Nickelodeon, Cielito Lindo is a modern Latino family band formed by the Lucero family of 9. The children range in age from 6 to 17 and have performed for numerous events throughout the Mid West. With a fresh look and youthful energy, the family performs the traditional music of Mexico with influence from bands such as Los Lobos, Trio Los Panchos and more. The family is passionate about inspiring parents and children to enjoy music, culture, and creativity together.

The Lucero Garcia children are 4th generation musicians The family’s music story began in 2006 when the two eldest boys (then 3 and 4) began singing with their father and his band. In 2015 this large family of 9 relocated from the state of New Mexico to their mother’s hometown Chicago, IL to provide their children with better opportunities. 

Since moving to Chicago, the Lucero family supports themselves 100% through the arts and has had the thrill of performing for large audiences at Chicago Bulls games, Millennium Park, the Art Institute of Chicago, music festivals, various television programs and hundreds of private events.
